Given Modern Requirements for Agricultural Sector

An area of 1,000 hectares will be sown to onions in the autumn. Not less than 50,000 tons of onion crops are expected to be produced by farmers in Dashoguz Velayat this year (far more than last year). Noteworthily, onion crops (planted in large areas in the region for the first time last winter: on 500 hectares in S. A. Niyazov etrap, and on 400 hectares in Gurbansoltan-eje etrap) will be harvested this spring. Local agri-producers expect to yield good crops because they used hardy and early-maturing varieties of onion sets that are well adapted to the local soil and climatic conditions.
