Turkmenistan and Georgia aim to expand their trade and economic partnership

On 30 March 2026, as part of an official visit, a meeting was held between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mr. N.Atagulyev and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Ms. M.Kvrivishvili.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral economic relations. Particular attention was paid to the expansion of trade and economic cooperation, the promotion of mutual investment, as well as the implementation of joint projects in priority areas. The parties expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, the digital economy, and innovation, emphasizing the importance of creating favorable conditions for direct contacts between the business communities of Turkmenistan and Georgia.

The role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen–Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation was particularly emphasized in coordinating bilateral interaction, ensuring a structured dialogue between relevant agencies, and implementing the agreements reached.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation and continuing constructive dialogue.
