The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan R.Meredov and Turkey M.Cavusoglu discussed the preparation of the visit of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Turkmenistan by telephone. The website of the Turkmen foreign policy department reports.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of Turkmen-Turkish relations in accordance with the instructions of the Presidents of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Turkish Republic Recep Tayyip Erdogan following their recent telephone conversation.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the preparation of the visit of the head of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan.

The ministers noted the effectiveness of interaction between the foreign ministries, and also confirmed the interest of the parties in the further development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.

The parties also noted the importance of the meeting of the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, scheduled for this year.
