On October 30, a meeting of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan of the sixth convocation approved the draft of Law of Turkmenistan “On joining the Agreement on the Establishment of the Global Institute of Green Growth”, adopted on June 20, 2012 in Rio de Janeiro. The Agreement defined the key role of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) dedicated to supporting and promoting the sustainable development of the developing countries by supporting and promoting of the new economic paradigm, where the green growth is considered as the balanced economic growth and environmental sustainability.
