On May 7, a ceremonial event dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the outstanding Indian poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore was held in the Turkmen capital at the “Magtymguly Pyragy” cultural and park complex. A personal exhibition of paintings of Nyyazmyrat Dovodov has been opened at the State museum of fine arts in Ashgabat in honour of his 105^th birthday. Nyyazmyrat Dovodov, an honoured artist of Turkmenistan, has left a rich legacy for his compatriots. Suffice it to say that the thematic exhibitions of museum rarely do without his works. Therefore, the anniversary exhibition features many paintings that are well known to art enthusiasts.
